Biographical Notes:
Simeon Parsons Smith was born July 31, 1809. On January 27, 1833 he married Hetty Hosford Smith of Hartford, Connecticut, and the couple had one child. After Hetty's death in 1840, Simeon married Eliza VanNess Lyle. He passed away in Baltimore, Maryland on Feburary 6, 1848.
