Embroidered memorial picture created by Charlotte Gray Lynch in memory of her father Col. Ebenzer Gray. The gravestone reads "To the/Memory/of/Col. EBENEZER GRAY,/Who died 18th of June, 1795;/Aged 52 Years./The sleeping Dust shall arise,/and believing friends unite/to part no more."

Col. Ebenezer Gray was an officer in the Fourth Regiment also known as the Connecticut Line during the Revolutionary War. He received a large tract of land in Litchfield County in payment for his service and was also a member of the Society of the Cincinnati.
