Description:
Three letters from Asa Wheeler written to Sumner Allen Webber, then a student at the Litchfield Law School. Wheeler attended the American Literary, Scientific and Military Academy (forerunner to Norwich University) from 1820-23 and then worked as a lawyer. In the first letter, Wheeler asks Webber to obtain the opinion of Judge Gould in a pending case.
