Mary Stone Bryan wore this dress when she married Samuel Peck in Orange, Connecticut in 1836. Diagonal, v-shaped pleats on the bodice, fitted copper arms and a narrow pelerine capelet charecterize dresses of the mid-to-late 1830s.
