Biographical Notes:
Josephine Clifford Stiles was the daughter of Litchfield Law School student Joseph Clay Stiles. Josephine took on the task of teaching her brother Eugene's children in their early years. Later most of the children were taken in by Stiles relatives in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and received additional education.
Additional Notes:
Josephine Clifford Stiles is buried in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, VA.
