Biographical Notes:
Mehetable Topping Hays was born in 1762 to Dr. Josiah Topping of Simsbury, Connecticut, and his wife Susannah Holcomb Topping. In 1780 Mehetable married Seth Hays of Granby, Connecticut. During their marriage the couple had six children, and resided at 67 Barn Door Hills Road.

Mehetable Topping Hays is buried in the Salmon Brook Cemetery.
