Biographical Notes:
Peter Curtiss was the son of Adna and Almira Curtiss. Born in Farmington, Connecticut in 1790, Peter married Eliza Fenn Wadsworth on April 30, 1823. The couple traveled to Buffalo, New York on the Erie Canal, bringing Peter's mother, Almira along. During their marriage Peter and Eliza had at least one child, Cornelia Wadsworth Curtiss, who later married Frederic Deming of Farmington, Connecticut. On June 11, 1862 Peter passed away in Buffalo.
