Description: *This event has been postponed to its snow date on Saturday, January 31.* Join Reggie Delarm, experienced weaver and proprietor of East Knoll Pottery in Torrington, for this workshop in weaving on a tape loom. People have been weaving decorative and functional bands of colorful bands of fabric tape for centuries. The tape can be used for suspenders, belts, guitar straps, curtain ties, bags, headbands and much more, so come and learn this ancient craft with us! You will learn: Charting Patterns Cutting the Warp Warping the Loom Weaving Vertical, Horizontal, Comb, or Checks Finishing the Ends Use of Paddle and Gate Looms You will go home with instructions on how to build your own loom, folder of patterns to try references for further study. All materials will be supplied and the class is limited to 8 people. Please register with us by Thursday, January 22. Snow date: Saturday, January 31.
