Description: Join us for a talk by Susan Campbell, author of the first full-length biography of one of the youngest members of the illustrious Beecher family, Isabella Beecher Hooker. Isabella was a mover and shaker in her own right, involved in the woman suffrage and abolitionist movements. She was also an ardent Spiritualist with a wild streak. Susan Campbell is the author of memoir Dating Jesus: Fundamentalism, Feminism, and the American Girl and coauthor of Connecticut Curiosities, as well as a former columnist for the Hartford Courant.
