A letter dated  Jan. 1, 1834 to her sister Harriet in Wethersfield, Conn. in which she enclosed a detailed description of Quincy, Illinois with a map of the town dated 1833. She describes the people, religions, and various societies. In the letter she writes of events and people in town. It also contains a map of the center of town.
