Brief Description:

Gospel Hymns No. 2 (2011-63-0) is a music book of revial hymns published in 1876. The volume was published by Biglow and Main, and was the second in a series of six volumes produced for the public during the nineteenth century. Compiled by P.P. Bliss and Ira D. Sankey, it contains a large number of new gospel songs for the time, as well as some older selections that were popular at gospel meetings. Music and lyrics for songs such as "Onward, Christian Soldiers", "What a friend we have in Jesus", and "It is Well with My Soul" can be found in the music book.
