Giles Gibbs, Jr. His Book For The Fife (1974-86-0) is an edited version of the original Giles Gibbs, Jr. manuscript held in the Connecticut Historical Society collections. The edited book contains a brief biography of Gibbs, and gives a brief description of the original commonplace book that Gibbs used to record fife music in. He completed the book within a short span of time, probably entirely during the summer of 1777.
